All The Birds and Bees Connection Courses are abstinence based and nondenominational. They are designed to build critical thinking skills and create a safe environment where parents and children can bond.
Puber-Tea: For Mother and Daughter(s) (ages 8-10)*
A unique 2˝ hour course that covers the basic physical and emotional changes associated with puberty and helps young girls feel more confident and prepared for the onset of menstruation. Presented in a fun and engaging environment.

Guy Talk: For father and son(s) (grades 4 & 5)*
This unique 2˝ hour course covers the basic physical and emotional changes associated with puberty and helps to establish healthy hygiene habits, all in a fun and engaging manner.
This information helps fathers and sons feel more comfortable with these changes. Fathers feel more prepared for future conversations and sons feel more comfortable approaching there fathers in the future.

Rites of Passage I: For Parent/Tween (ages 10 – 12)
(Boys and girls are taught separately)
A six-week interactive course that generates an open dialogue about puberty, hygiene, nutrition, peer pressure, media, relationships, self esteem, reproduction and much more, all in a fun and engaging environment. Parents gain confidence talking with their tweens. And the tweens view parents as approachable.
This course gives parents the foundation and necessary tools to communicate their personal values and beliefs. It also creates a close bond between parent and tween that will last into the future.

Rites of Passage I: Two-Part Series: For Parent/Tween (ages 10 – 12)

This Two-Part series (Part-A & Part-B) was designed for parents who (due to time commitments) are unable to make the six week course (Rites of Passage I). This series offers parents the option to take our complete course at two separate times. * Please note that Part-A is a prerequisite for Part-B.
An interactive course that generates an open dialogue about puberty, hygiene, nutrition, peer pressure, media, relationships, self esteem, reproduction and much more, presented in a fun and engaging environment. Parents gain confidence talking with their tweens. And the tweens view parents as approachable.

The Bridge: For Parents & Teens (attending middle school)
This 2˝ hour course provides parents with the language to feel more confident parenting during these critical years and the teen’s develop critical thinking skills leading to better life choices in the future.
The teens receive information that will help them cope with the physical, emotional and social changes associated with the Middle School years.
Topics include: parent/teen communication, physical & emotional changes, magical thinking, coping skills and relationships.

Rites of Passage II: For parents & teens (grades 9 & 10)
(parents attend first and last session)
A powerful five week course that generates an open dialogue about sexuality, peer pressure, relationships, dating, magical thinking, STI’s, birth control – all in the context of consequences and strengthening critical thinking skills.

Puberty Retreat: For mothers and daughters ages (10 - 12).
(Please note: This is NOT an overnight retreat)
The retreat includes Rites of Passage I course topics plus; mini facials, self esteem activity, healthy food choices and decision making skills. Parents gain confidence talking with their tweens; and the tweens view parents as approachable.

This two hour presentation is designed specially to help parents with the language and concepts pertaining to “the talk.” This presentation will help parents to better understand that this subject is an on-going process. The facilitator will share helpful tools and create a forum for parents to ask questions and get answers.
